The Grapes of Kuba

Our wine collection is growing. Our palate is becoming more refined. And we are hosting our first official wine tasting on 10/24 from 6:30 – 8:30 @ Kuba Cigars. We’ll have wine from Chile, France, and Argentina. (updated as it was originally scheduled on 10/23)

It’s a free event and should be a lot of fun. We’re constantly learning about wine just as we are with cigars. A lifelong passion takes, well, a lifetime to perfect. As with expanding, growing, and changing our cigars we are doing the same with our fine wines.

Kuba Kicks Off the ‘08-’09 TB Lightning – 9/19

We love our Bolts. And we are celebrating the new season with a good ole’ fashioned Kuba Smoker. Join us on Friday September 19th from 7 – 10pm. We’ll have specials, prizes, cigar smokin’ chaos, and of course the usual band of Kuba misfits . Hope to see you all there.

CAO Smoker – June 20th!!! (a Recap)

I would safely say that the golf idea was a hit. Instead of the usual tickets for prizes raffle….zzzz…. we incorporated a bit more “skill” in dishing out prizes. I wanted to go the full on: including the wastebasket basketball and Nerf Football tournament, but I kept it simple.

Other than 30 minutes of putt-putt, if you missed the smoker, you missed a good time. Not to mention some killer Corona specials. Is it okay that I brag?

We are shooting for August for our next party @ the store. You have time to practice your putting skills until then.

Kuba & Tampa Bay Lightning: 2008 – 2009 Season!!

We were cordially invited to an afternoon luncheon to meet the newest player on the Tampa Bay Lightning, Steven Stamkos (Seen Stamkos?). With a new coach, a solidified team ownership, new players, and a renewed TBL spirit, it looks like the ‘08 – ‘09 season is going to be pretty exciting.

If you haven’t visited our Kuba Lounge (yes we have one) come and see us at the AFS Lounge on 5th floor of the St. Pete Times Forum. If you haven’t been to a TBL game yet, you are missing out and need to check out one of the most exciting live sports in the world (my opinion ok.)

There’s really nothing better than enjoying sliced pork, Merlot, and a killer cigar @ a Lightning Game. Though I heard rappelling through the jungles of Costa Rica is a close second. Have to get back to you on that one.

Kuba Cigars Joins the Blog World

Yes, finally we have caught up to the digital age (Bloggin’). The pursuit of the perfect smoke began in 2005. At that time, my family and I had no idea that – several years later – Kuba Cigars would bring such happiness to our lives

Here we are, many smokes later, things are starting to heat up. 2008 is still a new year (in my eyes) and the second half looks to be even better than the first. And so the pursuit for the perfect smoke continues. Without the loyalty of our great customers, this would all still be a dream.

So, to all our fellow Kubans, THANK YOU!!
